Heller Le Soleil Royal (part 1)

apologise for my lack of video experience, but here we have my latest project. my 1/100 Le Soleil Royal by Heller. The first thing I decided at the beginning of this build was to see if I could paint the Soleil Royal to appear like wood. the entire model will appear like wood apart from its famous blue and gold decorations and some red inside the bulkheads. This has unfortunately put a considerable amount of time onto the project. The last image at the end of this video shows the Soleil Royal after approx 330 hours. much of which is purely the paint. like my Victory every aspect of this build is hand painted using the Revell Aqua acrylics for all my main colours and the Vallejo wash pigments for all my detailing. already there is a considerable amount of aftermarket parts most of which are brass and copper eyelets, brass rings, blocks and scratch build parts such as the wooden doors at the bow. Every aspect of the build along with other projects I’m working on can been seen on my Instagram page @rj
