135891 / 1969 Dodge Charger R/T

Dodge Charger R T/135891 The beneficiary of $107K of restoration that was completed by Hodge Restorations of Inman, South Carolina, this authentic R/T coupe is a no-holds-barred classic that decks $20K of hot Arruzza Hemi in savage MoPar attitude. The car’s comprehensive nut-and-bolt rebuild began when its solid fuselage was stripped all the way to bare metal. Once that metal was successfully married to new quarters and a fresh trunk floor, everything was smoothed, sanded and carefully aligned. After a bit of primer and prep, inky black 2-stage was stacked on a virtually flawless profile. When that profile was completely sealed and fully buffed, a monochromatic deck stripe was aligned behind a tight vinyl roof. And, in late 2010, this Dodge stormed the boulevard as a positively evil resto-mod that tempers an old school, no-nonsense demeanor with new age panache! Toss the hood and you’ll find 472 cubic inches of Hemi fury! Supplied by the pros at Pittsboro, North Carolina’s Arruzza Performance, that balanced, blueprinted and dyno-ed mill utilizes an Eagle crank, forged Manley I-beams, forged Ross pistons and a custom Cam Motion cam to twist 600 horsepower into 590 lb./ft. of pump-gas torque. Behind that mill, a proven A727 TorqueFlite 3-speed twists a tough Dana 60 axle. Under that drivetrain, a Firm Feel torsion bar suspension makes optimal use of modern power steering. Abrupt stops are supplied by big Wilwood calipers, which squeeze a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. Exhaust rolls from the aforementioned headers in to large-diameter pipes, which float an H-shape crossover in front of throaty Dynomax mufflers. And at the corners of the chassis, polished Billet Specialties wheels spin 215/65R15 Cooper Cobra Radial G/Ts in front of 295/50R15 Cooper Cobra Radial G/Ts. Built for the sophisticated muscle car fan, this Charger is the perfect opportunity to bask in the spoils of owning a fresh, fully sorted classic. Call, click or visit for more information!
