Ernst Krenek - Suite Opus 147 for Flute and Two Guitars arranged by Jeffrey Goodman
I discovered this exquisitely crafted suite of miniatures in 1980.
I had been performing his Suite for Solo Guitar in Europe, and when I
returned to the United States I began looking for another Krenek work suitable for playing on guitar.
I eventually found his Opus 147 for flute and piano. He replied to my
request to do an arrangement for flute and two guitars,
“Your idea of a transcription of my “Suite for Flute and Piano“ seems
to me very good. I am sure it would sound very well with guitar. Certainly
you have my permission to do so.“
