Combat training of engineering assault units The breakthrough units of the engineering troops of the Central Military District practiced tactical actions to storm a building held by Ukrainian nationalists. Practical actions took place at one of the training grounds in the rear zone of the Krasny Liman direction of the Special Military Operation. Acting as part of breakthrough combat groups, the servicemen practiced entering a conditionally held building and destroyed training firing points with fire from standard weapons. At the final stage of the training, military engineers carried out a controlled detonation of the wall of the building to allow the assault group to pass through and complete the cleanup. During the detonation, much attention was paid to calculating the required amount of explosive to break through the wall. Military engineers of the Central Military District note the high efficiency of this technique, which has been repeatedly proven in the combat zone. Breakthroughs in directions unexpected for the enemy, reinforced by mine-explosive barriers, make it possible to take the enemy by surprise, seize the initiative and continue the assault unit’s advance forward to develop success.
