Today we’re travelling on a line belonging to the RhB (Rhaetian Railway) - who have the largest network of all private Swiss railway operators, albeit a narrow gauge network. The Chur - Arosa line is an adhesion railway with gradients of up to 60‰.
I’ve included height above sea level in meters with station names to give you an idea of the rate of descent.
Consist: RAe 8/12 4 passenger coaches. Total 210t, 122m.
Total seats: 310 (60 1st class, 250 2nd class seats)
