A cool little 16-bit PCM drum machine released by Yamaha in 1989. It’s got 43 sounds and while they may be considered cheesy or not great by some, I like most of them. It’s got that late 80’s vibe and the added bass, marimba, and DX orchestral hit samples give it that extra charm. I just went over the built-in demo songs as well as some sounds, also playing some beats by hand. The audio was recorded directly without any EQ or added effects. All effects and sounds are heard from the RX8 itself.
