Kutiman ft. Karolina ’Music Is Ruling My World’ [Live]

Subscribe to Defected Records: Kutiman is best known for his ThruYOU video project on YouTube, taking a wide variety of musical cuts from people’s videos to make completely original melodic tracks. Now with his debut release on Soul Heaven, ‘Music Is Ruling My World’ featuring Karolina, Kutiman has secured himself as not only a talented video editor but a musician in his own right. The release features four versions of the track; Opolopo re-edits Kutiman’s original version, and then gives the track full on remix treatment, alongside remixes from Nick Monaco and James Fox. The Opolopo re-edit of the track keeps the jazz feel of the original, the instruments and bassline adding to the jazzy, soulful vocals of Karolina. Nick Monaco’s remix has a slightly darker sound, the vocals remained unchanged but a deeper, bassier backing track gives it a more current sound. Opolopo’s remix, like his re-edit, has a Jazz element to it, however this version has a more dance floor oriented
