Mary Griffith (Prayers for Bobby)

This clip is taken from the movie Prayers for Bobby. This film is based on a real life story of a kid named Bobby, who committed suicide because his mom didn’t accept his sexuality due to her Christian beliefs. Upon her son’s death Mary Griffith takes an important role in the gay rights movement. Eventually she testifies in the Congress, fighting for gay rights.
