This is the official video “Sentinels“ from Besra´s second album Transition which will be released September 29th 2023. Order the physical album here: Digital store link: The Finnish progressive post-metal band Besra release the first single and music video ”Sentinels” from their upcoming album. Besra is making a comeback this fall by releasing their second studio album ”Transitions” via Suicide Records. The first single from the album, ”Sentinels“ presents Besra’s more aggressive and intense sound, while still maintaining the band’s characteristic way of infusing emotional twists and dramatic changes into their music. The video is directed by Atte Heinonen. Besra’s drummer, Ville Kaisla, sheds light on the creation of the music video: “The song is on the heavier side of the album, so we absolutely wanted to make a powerful playing video for it. On the other hand, the lyrical side of ”Sentinels“ also conveys a strong sense of frustration, making it feel very natural to add a visual narrative to it. The song itself is a story about the deterioration of human behavior and its negative effects on our environment. This has led to us losing both the connection and appreciation for nature and ourselves.
