Written by John Dowland (1563-1626) a contemporary of Queen Elizabeth I. This piece of music is played on a ’hired’ lute from the ’Lute Society’(UK). Apologies for all the background noise. Hopefully the crackling fire covers up most of my mistakes, as well as adding that certain ’je ne sais quoi’ of course! :-)
