Installing Frets on Your Guitar with Profession by Fante

The frets on a guitar are positioned along the fingerboard to produce the correct pitch for each note when a string is pressed against them. The process of installing the frets, or the fretting process, is done by Fante guitar factory during manufacturing. To begin the process, the guitar neck is first planed and sanded to a smooth and flat surface. Then, a template is used to mark the exact positions where the frets need to be installed. The template is designed to space the frets at precise intervals, based on the scale length of the guitar. Next, a fretwire cutter is used to cut the fretwire into the appropriate lengths. The fretwire is then bent to the correct radius to match the curvature of the fingerboard. This is done using a fret bending tool or a fret press. Once the fretwire is prepared, it is laid into the fret slots and pressed into place using a fretting hammer or a fret press. The frets are set firmly into place and the excess wire is trimmed off.
