Milena Reljin was born in 1967 in Belgrade, SR Serbia, Yugoslavia. During her career Reljin won a record 9 consecutive Yugoslav Senior National Titles, from 1981 to 1989. She started rhythmic gymnastics at age 9 with a school friend in 1977. By 1980 she was the Yugoslavian Junior National Champion, and she went on to become Yugoslavia’s most successful rhythmic gymnast.
