“Einheitsfrontlied“ - German Worker’s Song

“Einheitsfrontlied“ (Song of the United Front) is a German socialist workers’ song written by Bertolt Brecht and composed by Hanns Eisler in 1934. It was written in response to the banning of labour unions in Nazi Germany as a call to unity between the hitherto divided reformist Social Democratic wings and the revolutionary Marxist-Leninist wings of the German labour movement. The “Workers’ United Front“ as a concept meant left-wing unity to combat fascism and other perceived anti-worker ideologies, a message that resonated all over the world, making this song one of the most popular anti-fascist songs of all time, if not the most popular. Source says that here it was performed by Ernst Busch in 1934, but I don’t believe so. I have found 4 really cool versions of Einheitsfrontlied that haven’t been uploaded yet, I will probably do them at some point (maybe on a second channel or unlisted in a public playlist) Und weil der Mensch ein Mensch ist, Drum brau
