Bio By She Rox, All Female Bands: Staten Island, New York based Missdemeanor began in 1983, a time when hard hard rock and heavy metal began to gain more popularity with fans looking for any alternative to the pop rock that was dominating radio airplay. Missdemeanor was founded by guitarist Linda McSherry, who along with drummer Joanne “JoJo“ Lori, Jacki Lombardo on bass, and vocalist Cathie “Cat“ Coleman, began taking over the east coast with constant touring and playing, the original line-up quickly gained the respect of many with their brand of speed metal that showcased the intricate level of talent each of the members possessed and released a demo that circulated their local scene and is still sought after by serious fans.
