Bio By She Rox All Female Bands: Ladies of the Canyon began in 2005 and hail from Montreal Quebec, started playing their local scene and quickly gained local fame for their smooth velvet vocal harmonies that showcased the heavy 1970’s influence country rock style that the girls easily mastered also called “Americana“ rock by some. The band has released two albums, 2010’s Haunted Woman and 2013’s Diamond Heart, which prior too Diamond Heart, the band had male musicians that filled in for drums but when original vocalist and founder Senja Sargeant left the group in 2012, and was replaced by drummer Tara Martin, the band solidified it’s all female lineup and have been touring since with some heavy weight names for sure such as Barenaked Ladies, along with a Canadian Country Music Association nomination for best rising star, the ladies further proved that hard work and determination pays off.
