The Rostover

In 1915, following the turmoil caused by the first world war, the fifth Lubavitcher Rebbe, known as the Rebbe Rashab, vacated his hometown of Lubavitch. He settled in the city of Rostov-on-the-Don, where he set up Chabad Lubavitch’s headquarters and led the movement until his passing in 1920. Now, a century later, meet nine people living there today, and hear their reflections on the Rebbe’s move to their city and of the unbreakable bond that they continue to share.
