Eric Hake : Unreal Slackline Masters

Eric and Justin collaborated on this video to showcase tricklining in spots it hadn’t been seen before. We were especially looking for that abandoned industrial vibe to turn old infrastructure into a modern piece of video art. Eric trained hard specifically for this film segment, making sure every trick was consistent so when it came time to to them on the highline he wouldn’t take any gnarly falls. Eric’s ender trick is something he’d been thinking about for a long time, and on that day of filming it just happened to click third try. In terms of filming, Justin wanted to mix up the shots between tight and distant, and we think the drone shots provide some nice context for the spots we went to. We went for a modern-style edit with an upbeat electronic song and some creative framing to keep it interesting. We hope you all enjoy!
