I love this drill, but every time I’ve seen it demonstrated it’s always done freestanding... not many people I know can do it with a decent range of motion or without falling over, therefore they’re just not getting the full benefits!. Holding on to a post or a doorframe is a great way to hit some of those hip angles safely!
Don’t force anything just go to where you can, you’ll find the more you do it the easier it becomes.
