Recently, though, I’ve been lucky. H&M and I have been preparing for our soon-to-be-released collaboration that riffs on highlights from Balmain’s past eight seasons—and creating that retrospective range has helped make it very clear that all our hard work over the last four years has resulted in the construction of a unique Balmain DNA. The Parisian house’s style and attitude is quickly identified whenever worn by a member of Balmain’s strong and confident army. For spring 2016, my aim is to consolidate that recent progress, while pushing Balmain forward, in a bold exploration of new possibilities.
