Sassafras Gulch Lumber Co. Back Yard Railroad

This is the Sassafras Gulch Lumber Co. Backyard Railroad. It is 15’’ gauge and about 400’ long. The thing we are riding is a homebuilt Speeder made of wood and powered by a Torro lawn tractor engine. The rails are made of wood untill we get to the homebuilt wooden bridge, then it changes to steel rail. The lumber company is the sawmill at the end of the line. Top speed is about 5-8 mph. It also has a wooden homebuilt turntable that is not shown in this video. This is a very interesting line.
