Samantha Soriano | Grounding | Canyon CLLCTV

Get to know mountain bike freerider Samantha Soriano and find out what keeps her driven – not only as a professional athlete but also as a person in her daily life. Coming from a downhill race background and being thrown into the freeride space, she was blissfully unaware of the importance and significance of digging and building features. As she continued to push her own career path as a freerider, she had a growing sense of imposter syndrome, as she had no clue how to build a jump, let alone how to properly use a shovel. After heading to her inaugural Red Bull Formation freeride event in Utah, USA, followed by witnessing the spectacle that is Rampage, she was inspired to build her own line, from scratch. This whole process would take multiple months, many tries, and many hard days. This brand-new edit “Grounding“ highlights her journey of building her first line and riding her own features. This process literally grounded her to the long lineage of freeride roots and emphasizes how she grounds herself on and off the bike. Sam has been riding in the desert for almost three years now and after working through the process of building, she has an extreme appreciation for every feature in the desert. Now she is looking forward to being able to continue to progress not just as a rider, but as a builder as well. Wanna know more about her bike?
