San Antonio Spurs forward-center Victor Wembanyama and Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller have been named the Kia NBA Western and Eastern Conference Rookies of the Month, respectively, for games played in January. The other nominees for Kia NBA Western Conference Rookie of the Month were Oklahoma City Thunder forward-center Chet Holmgren and Houston Rockets forward Cam Whitmore. The other nominees for Kia NBA Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month were Washington Wizards guard Bilal Coulibaly and Miami Heat forward Jaime Jaquez Jr.
