Professor Griff “Sista Sista“ (1992 Luke Records)

Following being ousted from Public Enemy over statements deemed anti-semitic made to the Washington Post in 1989 by the revolutionary rap artist - the politicized Public Enemy member Professor Griff would land at (of all places) Luke Records - the record label founded by the founding 2Live Crew’s Luther Campbell - aka Luke - who fully got behind Griff’s music releasing the 1990 album “Pawns in the Game“ followed by 1991’s “Kao’s II Wiz*7*Dome“ and 1992’s “Disturb N Tha Peace“ that included this black female anthem “Sista Sista.“ Note that Griff would later rejoin PE and that he had also publicly apologized for his initial controversial statement.
