Voluntary goosebumps (goose bumps)

Goosebumps start in 2 seconds after flicking my mental switch... Watch hair at the top of my arm lift up almost immediately. I have been able to induce instant goose bumps since I was a teenager. It seems I accidentally “hacked“ into the normal physiological response for fear and exhilaration: The difference is that I can run this chill-down-the-spine sub-routine without any emotional input at all. I can also use it to enhance the natural response when listening to good music or anticipating a kiss. It was awesome video of ski jumping very much like this that this triggered some of my first extreme exhilaration reactions 35 years ago, complete with industrial goose bumps. It was this experience that led me to figure out how to trigger the reaction without sensory stimulation: I would describe this ability as something like a self-induced adrenaline rush. There is nothing mystical about it. If you want to know more, then visit Scroll down to the heading “Significance of voluntary goose bumps“ and read down to just above the heading “photo“. This is an archived copy of a Wiki entry that has been deleted by people who insist on documented evidence - actual experience does not seem to count... If you search Wikipedia for goose bumps you will have to dig to find the listing - I tried posting it here, but it is too long.
