A song about the 1838 promise that was made to God for saving the Boers (Maybe Afrikaners at the time) against the impossible odds of the Invading Zulu army. The Boer farmers were only a handful of men and women against 1000’s of invading Zulu warriors. Yet they defeated the mighty Zulu army and it is believed that it was through their prayers and belief in God that they were victorious.
