This CD series originally started when Pioneer first made the now club standard CDJ decks and then realized it was difficult for CD DJ’s to find unmixed material to play in them. If you bought decks in late ’96 or early ’97 you were offered membership to this DJ only/subscription only service. I can’t speak for the whole of CD Pool’s output but Street Beats, Underground Beats, and Club Beats were a musical goldmine of impossible to find tracks (on CD) in many different genres that enabled early converts to Digital DJ’ing to compete with their vinyl spinning compadres. At the start CD Pool was a very small operation making their earlier releases extremely rare. I used to be a member and will upload more of these CD’s from time to time.
