Western leaders have ‘growing concern’ about wider Middle East war

ASPI senior analyst in defence strategy Malcolm Davis says it is very clear Western leaders are “concerned about the potential for a widened war”. His comments come as Foreign Minister Penny Wong is set to travel to Israel next week. Mr Davis warned leaders are worried about the war between Israel and Hamas “spreading geographically”. “You’re seeing increasing attacks in the Red Sea by the Houthis. “There is growing concern by Western governments to try and prevent a wider war.”
