Abay (Ibrahim) Qunanbayuli (August 10, 1845 – July 6, 1904) was a great Kazakh poet, composer and philosopher. When I heard his poem ’Kozimnin Karasy’ first time I was really young. This song was performed by girl-band ’Artemis’. The song touched me and I never dreamt that I would be involved with this song somehow. Once I heard a performance of Polina Tyrina, during all evening she was singing something in the portugese language. It was fun until she started to sing lovely poem of Abay. I still remember my heart has been stoped for few seconds. I closed my eyes and felt the blood coming up from feet to heart. My breathing was heavy and I almost felt like body’s temperature has risen up just like that. I was immersed in the atmosphere of the ancient Kazakhstan. I felt the smell of bitter wormwood, warm of spring sun and dust from the herd of horses grazing near. It inspired me to offer to record a song and a video later. Being cameraman, color corrector and editor was enjoyable. I’m sure that her talant will be admitted by people. Great thanks to Polina Tyrina for hard work:)
The video was filmed in Astana by Doberman Production.
