Mark Solms & Thomas Fuchs: The Hard Problem of Consciousness | Horst Kächele Memorial Webinar Series

Prof. Mark Solms and Prof. Thomas Fuchs recently discussed “The Hard Problem of Consciousness“ at the IPU Berlin. The webinar was hosted by IPU professor Andreas Hamburger and opened a series that will continue with a second webinar in July 2022 and two more in 2023. With the help of DAAD funding, the Foundation to Promote University Psychoanalysis has created a visiting professorship in memory of Horst Kächele, which started in the winter 2021/22 semester. As part of the position, the IPU has created the International Horst Kächele Memorial Webinar Series on Contemporary Psychoanalytic Research. Mark Solms is the world‘s leading researcher in the field of neuropsychoanalysis and one of the most prominent specialists in the early history of psychoanalysis. His work has given new impetus to the psychoanalytic theory of mind and has facilitated a dialogue with the neurosciences. In winter semester 2021/2022 he was a DAAD Visiting Professor at the IPU Berlin. Thomas Fuchs
