Item title reads: “Plymouth civic week. Lady Jellicoe inaugurates our latest lifeboat.“ Plymouth, Devon M/S crew in foreground with a large crowd watching from a high bank and a jetty to the left of the camera. Flags and bunting are draped along the landing stage. Lady Jellicoe arrives on the landing stage and stands with officials while a priest blesses the lifeboat. She then breaks a bottle of red wine against the boat, throwing it quite fiercely to smash it.
