Young trainee pilots have their first parachute lesson on the ground which involves being dragged through the snow at high speed. No titles. United States of America. M/S of a young army trainee pilot being helped on with his parachute in a snow-covered airfield; he turns around to show us the back view. C/U of him pulling a cord on his pack to activate the parachute. L/S of the man being pulled backwards along the snowy ground by his open parachute. Several more shots of young men being dragged roughly over the ground by their opening parachutes; one shot in slow motion shows a man rushing to hold onto a wild parachute pulling some poor man along. M/S of a line of pilots standing in front of a biplane; they turn around and walk off, some smile gamely.
