Various shots of Soviet workers using high pressure water hoses to clear rubble and debris in order to build road and railway lines. The excavated material is directed into gigantic troughs where the debris is sieved so it can be reused to make concrete. Panning shot of troughs going over railway line, a train with wagons full of debris moves underneath trough. Near Murmansk, in Northern Russia. L/S of town at foot of mountains. M/S of a miner drilling into rock face - he is mining for mineral, apatite. C/U of miner. C/U of drill. Various shots of wagon on rails moving down mine tunnel.
