Equestrians (1931)

Full titles read: “Equestrians. Filmed at Richmond.“ (new title) “Notwithstanding the growth of the motoring habit, there are plenty of enthusiasts ready to take a ride on Dobbin - or a jump.“ Richmond, London. Various shots of a woman on horseback jumping over fences in a field. A fair-sized crowd of adults and children watches. We then see several people in the ’Potato Race’ - it seems to involve picking up a potato and running across a field to put it in a bucket, all the while leading your horse beside you. Two men are seen ’tent-pegging’. A man and woman play a version of musical chairs where they ride around on horseback to music; when the music stops, they both dismount and run to try and sit on a chair in the middle of the field (the man wins). Three women ride a bucking horse bareback - they all fall off. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNEL, BRITISH PATHÉ TV.
