AC-130W Stinger II Gunship • Now 105mm Howitzer In A Plane

Originally, the AC-130W Stinger II was not equipped with a 105mm howitzer cannon like previous AC-130 variants had been. But after reassessing past combat missions and considering Airmen feedback, the U.S. Air Force reversed it’s decision and refitted the Stinger gunships with the big 105mm cannon in 2017.
