Uhripuu (Finland) — Illankoitto — 2023 EP

The second release of this Finnish solo act. This project develops a good and moderately gritty black metal adhering to an orthodox view, however there are a handful of sections, especially when synths are used that transport the listener to something quite different, sometimes dungeon synth but others nearing experimental grounds or other time through the guitar, adding a scent of folk or heavy metal textures. This is the most noticeable difference from the debut, which mixed these two genres in a more standard way. This search adds a lot of originality to this project and surely will be honing this process further in the future.
