Played through on hard mode. I think I about had a nervous breakdown during practicing this game so much, I don’t ever remember playing such an awkward and absurdly difficult Final Fight brawler style game- this really is a harder game than Streets of Rage 3. And it’s nowhere near as good. Given that this was Acclaim’s first in-house developed arcade game, when viewed against the general quality of anything they produced, this game’s general mediocrity is hardly surprising.
I do love the hideously campy shuffle walk, and the really cheese moves that try to mimic Turtles in Time (when Batman kicks the guy straight into the screen, or uses the grappling hook), and the one-liners are pretty awesome.
But seriously, even on easy, this game is painfully hard. Don’t torture yourself unless you are extremely good at these games and have a ton of patience to
