Halide Salam: Awaiting the Vertical

Artist Halide Salam discusses how Sacred Geometry shapes her art and its connections with nature, personal experiences, and sacred texts. Salam’s paintings were presented by the UNC Charlotte College of Arts Architecture Projective Eye Gallery in Spring 2023. “Awaiting the Vertical“ included selections from three series of paintings (TransPlace, TransLight, and TransMigration), in which Salam explores her own personal growth as a Muslim immigrant in modern America.
