Philip Ording has a Ph.D. in mathematics from Columbia University and has been a member of the faculty at Sarah Lawrence College since 2014. Beginning in graduate school he served as a consultant to various New York-based artists including Mary Ellen Carroll, Peter Coffin, Anthony McCall, and Richard Serra.
