1769 Cugnot Steamer in HD

In 1769, seven years before the American Revolution, Nicholas Joseph Cugnot assembled the first self-propelled vehicle for the French military. This cugnot fardier (flatbed truck), was reproduced in detail by the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum. Recorded at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn Michigan, September 10, 2011, during the 61st Old Car Festival in Greenfield Village -- the longest running antique card show in America, attracting enthusiasts from around the world.
