Zonhoven is regarded as one of the most iconic cyclocross venues on the circuit. Established in 1958 it ran until 1966 before disappearing only to be relaunched in 2005. With its steep sandy descents and climbs, in and out of the punch bowl, always leads to fantastic racing. In 2018 Mathieu van der Poel picked up a hat trick of straight victories in Zonhoven, while world champion Sanne Cant stood on the top step of the podium for the fifth time in her career.
