Windtalkers (2002) - Nicolas Cage’s War Raging on Saipan Scenes

At this time, Nicolas Cage was at the hype of his career and about to fall off rapidly never to recover. Another prominent names appeared such as Mark Ruffalo (nobody at that time just yet), Christian Slater (same position and fate as Nick) and for a little bit Jason Isaacs (who sadly also seemed to have fallen off lower since the times of Event Horizon (1997), Armageddon (1998), The Patriot (2000) and Black Hawk Down (2001)- some of my favourite movies with him; but at least enjoys steady acting career to this day.) The movie itself is decent. Production quality is very high and acting overall is respectable. After the Saving Private Ryan (1998) movie that changed my life, I was hooked on WW2 themed movies and I looked forward to this one. At that time, it delivered and I was very happy with it. As the time passes though, I look at this movie a lot less favourably. I think mainly because that the actions scenes alone are simply not good enough for me and I can’t overlook a
