Oscar Peterson Etudes and Pieces Animation

Original animation of Oscar Peterson’s “Etudes and Pieces.“ The animation was made using a piano model, originally made using Google SketchUp (free). That piano model was exported into the 3D Blender (free) modeling/animation tool and each of the stage settings for each Etude and Piece was modeled as a separate scene in Blender. Each scene was exported to JPG. The final movie production was made using Apple’s iMovie software. The piano performance uses the Synthogy Ivory virtual grand piano and was recorded using MOTU Digital Performer software. Performed and Produced by Stan Owen, jr.
