Factory Fire - USA (1914-1918)

Factory Fire - USA. Baltimore, Maryland, United States of America. Winter; must be very cold; as water from the hoses is frozen into icicles hanging off things. Back view of firemen on truck; pan up to stream of water from hose. CU; pan left past some firemen and civilians - fire-fighters drinking coffee or something else hot; from steaming cups old man talking to fire-fighter. Titles mention that factory was on Paca Street in Baltimore; 7 injured; 80 girls rescued. GV fire; smoke billowing from building; other buildings in FG still ok - firemen stand on one of the near roofs. Another view of smoke pouring from building. US fire-fighter on ladder up against building. Roof where they have set up most of the equipment - great shot; really dramatic; hoses all over; ladders sticking up into sky; and jets of water also arch up; pan up to nothing but smoke. Some good footage of firemen at work; especially from this era. Exciting. Danger. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE
