Women war workers practice for Western Front show. Opens w/ scene of girls in coats; some with suitcases; arriving somewhere; shaking hands with men at a table. CU same. Girl puts down bag; hugs man - happy greeting. Women sanding a wooden board attached to a stand. Then a shot of a line of women; smiling; laughing; exiting building carrying various carpentry tools. Women building pallets; frames; toys; etc. 2 girls; using saw and hammer. Back to interior shot: on left a woman sits at sort of raised bench; working with small tools in her hands; man & 2 women at another bench in BG. Woman enters; walks to a 3rd bench; sets down bag; starts sanding; pan to her.
