Gdansk, Poland LS Plane carrying nineteen Polish sailors from the “Gottwald“, freed after a year of captivity on Taiwan by Nationalist Chinese leader Chiang Kai Shek, flying into the airport at Gdansk. MS Eager and excited crowd of relatives waving. (3 shots). LS Plane taxiing and crowd running towards the plane. MS Looking down at faces of crowd from plane. CU Joyful woman waving flowers. Pan across crowd surrounding plane to sailors walking down steps of plane and immediately being engulfed in a sea of overwrought relatives. First off the plane is Captain Szemiot and his deputy Nawrot. Various shots of couples reuniting. A small girl is held up to embrace her father, Arczynski.
