Where Lindbergh landed in France. Seems to be another aviator landing on the same field in France where Charles Lindbergh had landed. (There was a competition to be first to make the transatlantic flight; and others followed after L.’s success.) Opens w/ CU flat monument; propped up; w/ words engraved in French. Translation: Charles Lindbergh after having crossed the Atlantic; landed here; 22 May; 1927. Men walking & running across field as aeroplane lands in BG. Crowd swarming round plane; incl. journalists; photographers; 1 other cameraman carrying movie camera past. CU held up above heads of crowd; w/ bouquet of flowers. Several men move his aeroplane; pushing it across field. More of crowd looking over crowd to in BG. Pilot shaking hands & talking w/ crowd; hangar in BG. He & another man walk toward cam.; crowd standing behind them. They stop & the man shows the pilot the monument; to be set in the ground.
