The Duke Flies Bea (1952)

The Duke flies to Malta and Rome on BEA’s Elizabethan Airliner. A BEA Elizabethan Air liner is towed in front of BEA terminal to take the Duke of Edinburough to Malta. With the Duke is Lady Brabourne, Sir Edward Fieldon and Lt. Commander Parker. The group shake hands and get on the plane. Plane takes off, Ariel shot of Malta. On the ground waiting are Sir Gerald Creasy and Earl Mountbatten. The plane lands. Crowds look on as the Duke arrives to present the Queen’s colours to the Commandoes, the 40th, 42 and 45th for their work in trouble spots around the world since WW2. Ceremonial gathering. The plane takes off for Rome, ariel shot of the sea, clouds, coastline, Rome. Plane taxi’s to a stop. He is met by Sir Victor Mallet and Italian officials.
