On-point: 2 years into Ukraine crisis: How long will Ukraine hold up?

2년 채운 우크라전 얼마나 더 길어질까? It’s been two full years since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Is Ukraine falling apart? And will the war become even further prolonged? We turn to Professor Ronald Grigor Suny this morning. Welcome to the program. 1. Ukraine has held up so much better than expected, but it also appears to be slowly wearing out from the protracted war, especially with Russian troops taking full control of the Ukrainian town of Avdiivka. Do Russian forces really have the upper hand in the war at this point? 2. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s call on the international community to aid Ukraine is still as desperate as ever. According to Zelenskyy, a Russian victory would be a lot more costly for other countries in terms of security. How does that work? (Number of U.S. and NATO forces should be up against Russian forces near borders?) 3. That could be a dilemma for Ukraine’s biggest aid provider, the U.S., particularly with the upcoming Presidential Election and the chance of Donald Trump returning to the White House. How do you think Trump’s leadership will play a role in the Ukraine crisis? 4. Many of us didn’t see the war lasting this long. Will the conflict between Russia and Ukraine remain as it is? Is an armistice not possible at all? Like something similar to the Korean War Armistice Agreement. 5. The U.S. said a major sanctions package targeting Moscow will be out on February 23rd. How major do you think that will be? Will it be major and effective in holding Russia accountable? Some experts in the U.S. even say Russia must be categorized as a terrorist country. Thank you so much for your insight this morning. We appreciate it. #Ukraine_crisis #Ukraine_war #Russia #Volodymyr_Zelensky #Vladimir_Putin #우크라이나전쟁 #유럽 #Arirang_News #아리랑뉴스 📣 Facebook : 📣 Twitter : 📣 Homepage : 2024-02-22, 09:00 (KST)
