A key figure of Soviet, Ukrainian and Russian free jazz scenes, Yuriy Yaremchuk started his musical activity in 80s and since then has collaborated with numerous renowned musicians of this genre and has participated in various international jazz festivals. Ivan Bursov – a young member of new Moscow improvisational scene, tenor saxophonist of the prominent noise rock band Brom and participant of various theatrical performances. A joint album of two saxophonists is an investigation of abilities of duet interaction between different woodwinds, from bass clarinet to soprano saxophone. Rich diversity of timbres, sound production features, different methods of playing these instruments – all this becomes a part of a unique language of two improvisators balancing between free jazz and improvised music.
