Excellent debut record from this new entity of the Canadian tyrant. Fantastic old school pagan Black Metal, brimming with folkish melodies and triumphant guitarworks, much alike acts such as Goatmoon or Eisenwinter. Cold and rustic hymns to honor the forests’ eternal wisdom, and the livelihoods of those who feed from it, excellently written with cold but blood pumping riffs to raise your glasses high, a very rustic, sloppy but completely appropriate drums and space for more experimental elements, like what sounds like some banjo leads on the first song, various types of synthesizer mysticism and the Dungeon Synth interlude.
